HISTORY OF A.L.M.T. Corp.
Tokyo Tungsten Co., Ltd. Osaka Diamond Industries Co., Ltd.
1933

Established Diamond Kenma Co., Ltd. in Nishi-Yodogawa-ku, Osaka city and began The manufacturing and marketing diamond tools.

1937

Entered into a capital and technical partnerships with Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd.

1939

Established Katsushika Seiren Co., Ltd (renamed "Tokyo Tungsten Co., Ltd." in December the same year) and began to produce tungsten powders.

1944

Transferred its plant to Sakai city. Changed its trading title to "Osaka Diamond Industries Co., Ltd."

Opened Sakata Plant in Sakata city, Yamagata prefecture.

1952

Sumitomo Electric Industries Co., Ltd. made capital investment in the company.

1958

Opened Toyama plant (currently Toyama Works) in Toyama city, Toyama prefecture.

1963

registered as a listed company in the second section of the Osaka Stock Exchange.

1964

Registered as a listed company in the second section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

1974

Opened Shizuoka Works in Fujieda city, Shizuoka prefecture.

1988

Opened Harima Works in Kato-gun, Hyogo prefecture.
Made capital investment to Chyi Meei Precison Industry Co., Ltd. in Taiwan.

1989

Established Osaka Diamond Industries (Singapore) PTE., Ltd. in Singapore.

1991

Sumitomo Electric Industries Co., Ltd. made capital investment in Tohoku Mineral Industries Co., Ltd. The corporate was renamed Advanced Material Inc. (currently A.L.M.T. TECH Inc.)

Established Osaka Diamond Industries (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in Thailand.

1994

Established Sakata Tokyo Tungsten Co., Ltd. (currently Allied Tec Co., Ltd. A.L.M.T. TECH Inc.)

1995

Transferred Tokyo Works' facilities to Sakata and Toyama plants and closed Tokyo Works down.

1996

ISO9002 certified. (W, WC powder and others)

1999

ISO9001 certified. (W, Mo wire, rods and plates)

2000

ISO9001 and ISO14001 certified. (A.L.M.T. TECH Inc.)

ISO9002 certified at Osaka Diamond Industries (Singapore) PTE., Ltd.
ISO9002 certified at Osaka Diamond Industries (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
ISO14001 certified at Osaka Works
ISO14001 certified at Harima Works

A.L.M.T.Corp.

Tokyo Tungsten Co., Ltd. and Osaka Diamond Industries Co., Ltd. merged together and formed A.L.M.T. Corp. on October 1.

2001

ISO9002 certified in Cutting Tools and Wire Drawing Dies Division (Osaka Works).
ISO9001 certified in Saw Blade Division (Shizuoka Works) .

2002

Entered into Co-operation Agreement with Tyrolit (Austria).
ISO9001 certified in Grinding Wheel Division (Harima Works).
Opened Ono Works in Ono city, Hyogo prefecture.
Established Henan ALMT Whirlwind Diamond Co., Ltd in China.

2003

Transferred Osaka Works' facilities to Harima and closed the Works down.
Functional parts business transferred from Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd.
Partly divided and took over A.L.M.T. TECH Inc. and established newly independent subsidiaries, A.L.M.T. TUNGSTEN Corp. and A.L.M.T. DIAMOND Corp.

2004

A.L.M.T. Corp. become a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Electric Industries Co. Ltd.
(as of July 30, 2004) and be delisted from the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and Osaka Securities Exchange.
ISO14001 certified at Toyama Works.

2005

The trade name of Osaka Diamond Industries (Singapore) PTE., Ltd. was changed into A.L.M.T. Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd.
The trade name of Osaka Diamond Industries (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was changed into A.L.M.T. (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
