History

 Year Tokyo Tungsten Co., Ltd. Osaka Diamond Industrial Co., Ltd.
1933   Established Diamond Kenma Co., Ltd. in Nishi-Yodogawa-Ku, Osaka City and began manufacturing and marketing diamond tools.
1937   Entered into a capital and technical partnership with Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd.
1939 Established Katsushika Seiren Co., Ltd (renamed to “Tokyo Tungsten Co., Ltd.” in December the same year) and began to produce tungsten powders.   
1944   Transferred the Works to Sakai City. Changed its company name to “Osaka Diamond Industrial Co., Ltd.”
1945 Opened Sakata Works in Sakata City, Yamagata Prefecture.   
1952 Sumitomo Electric Industries Co., Ltd. made capital investment in the company.  
1958 Opened Toyama Works in Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture.  
1963   Registered as a listed company in the second section of the Osaka Securities Exchange. 
1964 Registered as a listed company in the second section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Detached Sakata Works as Tohoku Mineral Industries Co., Ltd. 
 
1974   Opened Shizuoka Works in Fujieda City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
1980   Entered into a capital and technical partnership with Watanabe Diamond Industries Co., Ltd. (currently Awaji Diamond Industrial Co., Ltd.).
1988   Opened Harima Works in Kato-Gun, Hyogo Prefecture.
Made capital investment in Chyi Meei Precison Industry Co., Ltd. in Taiwan.
1989   Established Osaka Diamond Industries (Singapore) PTE., Ltd. in Singapore.
Watanabe Diamond Industries Co., Ltd. changed its name to Awaji Diamond Industrial Co., Ltd.
1991 Sumitomo Electric Industries Co., Ltd. made capital investment in Tohoku Mineral Industries Co., Ltd. The company name was changed to Advanced Material Inc. (currently A.L.M.T. TECH Inc.) Established Osaka Diamond Industries (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in Thailand. 
1994 Established Sakata Tokyo Tungsten Co., Ltd. (currently A.L.M.T. TECH Inc.) in Sakata City, Yamagata Prefecture.  
1995 Transferred Tokyo Works’ facilities to Sakata and Toyama Works and closed Tokyo Works.  
 
2000 Tokyo Tungsten Co., Ltd. and Osaka Diamond Industrial Co., Ltd. merged to form A.L.M.T. Corp. on October 1.
 Advanced Material Inc. and Sakata Tokyo Tungsten Co., Ltd. merged to establish A.L.M.T. TECH Inc.
2002 Opened Ono Works in Ono City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Established Henan A.L.M.T. Whirlwind Diamond Co., Ltd in China.
2003 Partly divided and took over A.L.M.T. TECH Inc. and established newly independent subsidiaries, A.L.M.T. TUNGSTEN Corp. and A.L.M.T. DIAMOND Corp.
 Transferred the drawing die business of A.L.M.T. Corp. to Awaji Diamond Industrial Co., Ltd.
 Transferred Osaka Works’ facilities to Harima and closed the Works.
 Functional parts business transferred from Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd.
2004 A.L.M.T. Corp. became a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Electric Industries Co. Ltd. and be delisted from the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and Osaka Securities Exchange.
 Established Henan A.L.M.T. Whirlwind Diamond Wheel Co., Ltd., A.L.M.T. Diamond Dies (SUZHOU) Co., Ltd. and Chengdu Liang Hong Molybdenum Co., Ltd. in China.
2005 Changed the company name of Osaka Diamond Industries (Singapore) PTE., Ltd. to A.L.M.T. Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd.
Changed the company name of Osaka Diamond Industries (Thailand) Co., Ltd. to A.L.M.T. (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
2007 Transferred Ono Works’ facilities to Harima and closed the Works. 
2011 Opened Korat Factory of A.L.M.T. (Thailand) Co., Ltd. 
2016 Shizuoka Works' facilities were transferred to Harima and the Works closed.
2017 Mergered four manufacturing subsidiaries, A.L.M.T.TECH Inc., A.L.M.T.TUNGSTEN Corp.,
A.L.M.T. DIAMOND Corp., Awaji Diamond Industrial Co., Ltd.
