Electrode materials for discharge lamps
Tungsten, which has the highest melting point among metals, is used for electrodes for discharge lamps. Conventional tungsten is not sufficient for the higher output and larger size of discharge lamps in recent years. By using high-density tungsten (SMD-W® series) manufactured with our unique know-how, excellent characteristics for discharge lamps can be obtained that cannot be obtained with ordinary tungsten. In addition, we can supply not only as bar materials but also after final shaping and finishing of electrodes upon requests.
